District Championships
General Information
o Locker room facilities will be provided. Swimmers are responsible for
their own valuables.
o Boys and girls will advance a minimum of one (1) swimmer and one (1) diver
to the state meet.
o Medals will be awarded to the athletes who finish first through sixth in
each event.
o Admission will be $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults.

o All diving entries and tentative diving sheets must be received by 18
February 2008.
o All swimming entries must be received by Direct Athletics by 10:00 p.m. on
18 February 2008.
The 2007-2008 District Qualifying Meet for those schools that do not sponsor a
swim team will be held at Williamsport High School on Monday, February 11, 2008.
The 2007-2008 Diving Championships will be held at Bloomsburg Middle School on
Saturday, February 23, 2008.
Detailed diving information:
The time schedule for the District IV Diving Championships and team warm-ups at Bloomsburg Middle School is as follows below. Please include one copy of a tentative diving sheet for each diver with your entry form and forward them to Mr. Kelly so that they are received by 16 February 2007.
Warm-ups: Thursday, 21 February 2008 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Friday, 22 February 2008 5:00-9:00 p.m.
Saturday, 23 February 2008 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
Open warm-up, men and women
9:30 a.m. – Final women’s diving sheets (3 copies)
9:30-10:30 a.m. – Warm-ups, women only
10:30 a.m. – Women’s one-meter competition
(Awards ceremony to follow)
12:30 p.m. (time approximate, based on the end of the women’s competition) – 1:30 p.m. – Men’s warm-ups (1 hour)
12:30 p.m. – Men’s diving sheets (3 copies)
1:30 p.m. – Men’s one-meter competition

The 2007-2008 Swimming Championships will be held at Bloomsburg University on
Saturday, March 1, 2008.
o Athletes may enter the facility at 8:00 a.m.
o Open warm-ups begin at 8:00 a.m.
o The pool will be cleared at 10:55 a.m.
o The meet begins at 11:00 a.m.
o Swimming competition – 11:00 a.m. – Boys & girls
o Scratch meeting – 10:30 a.m. – All swimming coaches must attend.
The 2007-2008 PIAA State Swimming and Diving Championships will be held on March
12, 13 14 and 15, 2008, at Bucknell University.

District entry forms will be sent to principals of all AA high schools in
District IV during the first week in December.
