Dear Principal:
Located on this website are materials to be given to your coach for the District IV Swimming and Diving Championships, to be held on 23 February and 1 March 2008. (Please note that this material may pertain to your school, even if you do not sponsor a swim team.) It is possible for individual swimmers or divers to qualify for the district meet.
Also, please note that District IV has discontinued assessing fees to schools or individuals to compete in the championship meet.

Letter to coaches:
Dear Coach:
The District IV Diving Championships will be held on Saturday, 23 February 2008 at the Bloomsburg Middle School pool. The District IV Championships will be held on Saturday, 1 March 2008 at Bloomsburg University.
Facilities: Bloomsburg Middle School has two (2) one-meter diving boards for the diving competition.
Bloomsburg University has a 25-yard pool with six (6) lanes and electronic timing.
Team Entries: Each team shall be permitted to enter a maximum of four (4) entries in an individual event, and one (1) relay team in a relay event, providing the swimmers meet the qualifying restrictions. Schools that do not sponsor swimming may not enter relay teams.
Diving: Each diver shall do eleven (11) dives: Five (5) voluntary dives and six (6) optional dives. The five voluntary dives shall come from each of the five groups, and shall not have a combined DD of groups greater than 9.0. Of the six optional dives, no more than one optional dive from the same group is permitted through the semi-finals. (Rule #9, Section 4, Article 1.) Divers must have successfully completed all optional dives listed on the entry form, prior to attempting those dives in the championship meet.
A complete dive sheet must accompany each diver’s registration. You may change a dive until one hour before the meet.
Qualifying Times: All competitors must meet the qualifying times by 20 February 2007 in order to compete. All qualifying times must be met in PIAA-sanctioned meets (i.e. not YMCA, etc.). Please indicate if times were not met in a 25-meter pool, and please convert times to the 25-yard standard.
